If you have some 'dead' keys - ones that dirt/crumbs/debris/fluff/etc. have gotten into the keyswitches of, then the keycap will have to be removed and the key switch cleaned - with a cotton swab soaked in rubbing alcohol, soak the key switch - or if there is surface dirt, swab up the surface dirt without dampening the cotton swabs and then apply alcohol to the switch. A drop or two per keyswitch is usually enough, more might be bad. You may even have to replace the keyboard.
The easiest thing to check would be, for dirt, grim, dust, build up needing cleaning. This is often the reason over time for those sticky and those other keys that do not work.
Usually, this is caused because the typewriter needs a good cleaning.
If you're not familiar with cleaning your typewriter you can find several videos on YouTube that should help.
You may not find a video about your particular typewriter but all you need to look for is 'how to clean a manual typewriter'.
You may have other problems in the future so I would recommend that you look online for a Smith Corona forum so you can ask your questions of members who use these typewriters all the time.
Here is one link to get you started. You will have to join to be able to ask for help.

Open the top of the typewriter and look at the keys. Some may be bent, and just need to be straightened out.
