Something is biting me. I have 3 small bites on the back of my upper arm. The entire back of my arm is red, swollen, itchy, and warm to the touch. This same thing happened about 3 weeks ago, but on my forearm with the same symptoms. Both times I was sitting on my couch when I was bitten. What could this be? My partner has not been bitten at all.

I'd say bed bugs or maybe fleas. Even if you don't have pets, you can get them coming in from neighbour pets.
I have been living in my apartment for 6yrs and this year my neighbors has infestation of bedbugs/roaches/ now fleas from the cat. Yes whatever infestation is in their house comes to mines.
