Sore Finger Nails?

I picked off my false nails one night instead of using acetone. OMG my fingers are so sore and split skin has formed, I can hardly touch anything without pain. I know it's my own fault, but what can I do? I've used antiseptic creams over night whilst asleep, but nothing works. I am sick of wearing plasters on my fingers they look ugly.

There is a product called liquid bandage that works really well.

When I can't convince my four year old grandson biting his fingernails too close (into the quick) isn't good, I put some "New Skin" on them. Yes, it hurts some but after a few minutes the pain subsided. (The pain is caused by the antibiotic in the liquid and makes a safer bandage and cleaner wound.) It breathes and does not have to be removed as the skin underneath falls off naturally.

You could even do dishes and it won't come off until the wound is ready.

I believe "Liquid Bandage" is a similar product. I love "New Skin" and would probably use "Liquid Bandage" if I couldn't find the other product. I started using it for paper cuts when I worked in an office. It is great!

I used to work in a machine shop and was the only female running machines. My hands were in oil constantly and my skin used to crack and bleed. Nothing helped. One of the guys told me to try krazy glue. It worked freat! It didn't hurt when I applied it and you could do dishes also. I always keep it on hand now even though I am retired. I've shared this with a lot of people over the years.
