Diamond Post Medal for All Time! 1,246 Posts I decided to make sour gummy brownies because my sour gummy cookies were such a hit. This ended up disappearing from the kitchen way faster than the cookies. The texture of the gummy candy turns into some kind of luxurious heaven when baked in the gooey chocolate brownies. The rainbow cuteness on top is also very pleasing to the eye. We love these!
Use any boxed brownie mix or homemade brownie recipe you like. Instead of using water indicated in the mix, I use brewed coffee. This gives them a richer flavour and texture.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20-30 minutes
Total Time: 30-40 minutes
Supplies:
- 1 box brownie mix
- eggs (number indicated on package)
- oil (amount indicated on package)
- coffee (use amount indicated for water)
- 1 bag Sour Patch Kids gummy candy
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 F. In a large bowl, stir together brownie mix, oil and and coffee.
- Add egg. Mix until smooth.
- Chop up 2/3 of the gummy candy into smaller pieces.
- Stir gummy candy into brownie batter.
- Grease a baking dish and pour in batter. Baking time will depend on the amount of batter you're using and the size of your pan. Pull out brownies 5 minutes before directed time on recipe.
- Carefully place the rest of the uncut gummy candies on the brownie surface while they are hot. Gently press in half way. Return to oven and finish baking for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool on a rack before cutting and serving.
