This was taken along the scenic Needles Highway in South Dakota. Two summers ago, we drove from ND to TX and camped a couple nights in Wind Cave National Park. We LOVED it! The scenery is breathtaking and everything is so calm and peaceful, not like the big city.
We purposely avoided the interstate as much as possible and were so happy we did! Our son (2 at the time) loved seeing all the animals. We highly recommend South Dakota as a vacation spot. You won't be sorry!

Check out these photos.
While traveling in South Dakota, we were in Custer State Park and saw this buffalo trying to scratch an itch on a sign. The actual writing on the sign makes it all pretty funny.
This is a picture I took of the highest peak in our area, it is the highest peak between the east coast and the Rocky Mountains! The picture was taken from a friend's back door.
This picture was taken about 5 miles south of Hermosa, South Dakota, along Highway 44. I believe it is on Forest Service property.
