Supplies:
- provided photo of cosmos flowers
- 8.2 x 5.7 in light blue marbled cardstock
- 3.6 x 5.4 in dark pink sugar paper
- dark pink and light pink paper craft string
- PhotoScape photo editing program
- craft glue
- pencil
- ruler
- scissors
- scanner and printer
PhotoScape photo editing program (version 3.6.3) can be downloaded free of charge from http://www.photoscape.org/
Steps:
- Score the 8.2 x 5.7 inches blue marbled card stock length-wise to create a card sized 5.7 x 4.1 inches.
- Glue the dark pink and light pink paper craft string lengthwise and crosswise over the dark pink sugar paper, so that it will look like a parcel that has been wrapped.
- With the fold at the top, glue the wrapped parcel to the front of the card.
- Scan the photo onto your computer.
- With the PhotoScape program, from the different frames that could be added to the photo, choose Stamp 02 and set the width of the frame at 200%.
- Choose object and then choose T to add text to the photo stamp. Add the words "Postage Paid" in pink letters and move the text box to the appropriate position.
- Print the photo stamp via PhotoScape, using the D3 (9.5cm x 12.7cm) size option, and cut out the printed photo stamp.
- Glue the photo stamp to the front of the card.
- Add the finishing touches by asking your local post office to add a postage stamp to the front of the card.
