Spicy Pork and Beans are a great way to use budget-friendly ground pork. It's an easy, flavorful one-pot meal.
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Yield: 4 to 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 medium onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (15.5 oz) can light red kidney beans, drained
- 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1 (10 oz) can diced tomatoes with green chilies
- ¼ to ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 - 3 Tbsp. sweet chili sauce/dressing
- salt to taste
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes, optional
Steps:
- In a large skillet, brown ground pork, drain and return to skillet.
- Add remaining ingredients to skillet. Cook on medium high until mixture begins to boil.
- Reduce heat, put lid on skillet and simmer 15 minutes.
