I have a New Home sewing machine and the spool pin is pushed too far down to be able to pull it up. Any ideas how to fix this?

You might have to take the top off the sewing machine and push it up from inside. It might need a super tiny dot of sewing machine oil. Your machine instruction book ought to tell you how take the top off.
On my machine, the top is held in place inside with metal clips. I just have to firmly pry up on the sides and it comes up.
