This is a great way to cool down a pan from the oven. My husband came up with this - AMAZING! He pulled 4 tablespoons out of the drawer turned them upside down and Voila! An instant rack for cooling. Works great if you don't own wire racks or if you don't have enough.

Fabulous! Now, the spoons would get hot, so if you were putting it on your good table you'd want to put some kind of insulation under it...but a folded kitchen towel should do it for this (instead of the thick folded bath towel I've used when I ran out of cooling racks).
When you start your response with Fabulous! Don't diss them afterwords. No one is going to put a hot pan with warm (not hot) spoons on their table.
What a clever idea. I had thought of using four jar rings but most people are more likely to have spoons then jar rings sitting around.
Your hubby is a genius!! Very clever and innovative. Keeps the cake cooler sooner.
