Squirrel

Every morning I put out 6 cups of Chicken Scratch for a wide assortment of birds, chipmunks and squirrels.

I really enjoy watching them through my back window as I eat my breakfast. It is not uncommon for me to open my shades and see assorted wildlife sitting on the outside window sill looking into my kitchen to remind me about feeding them.

It's really quite amazing to see. I have recognized 17 different varieties of birds to include a Red Headed Woodpecker that comes to drink water.

I always leave a camera on my kitchen table so if a new species appears I don't have to move and take a chance of scaring it away. Well this morning I got a great shot of a squirrel looking directly at me.

Wild bird feed can be expensive at the local Pet Stores so I go to the local Grain Mill and buy 40 pounds of Chicken Scratch for $15 and it lasts about a month.
