When my tomatoes start getting ripe the squirrels eat them and leave about half of it on the ground. I have tried giving them water, but that doesn't help. I have a trap, but there are too many to control them. Any suggestions?

Squirrels can be a real pest alright. I ward them off by sprinkling red pepper around my plants otherwise known as Cayenne pepper.

Before my tomatoes get ripe, (still green) they are after them again. They do this every year. I put water out for them and that doesn't help. So it isn't water they are after.
