An easy way to keep everyone in your life up-to-date on the doings of your life is a blog. Standing for web log, it is software that allows one to post entries and have them available for all to read. It's especially useful in those situations, like medical condition updates, where you don't want to make a zillion phone calls all the time. Simply one post to the blog and everyone can check your news on-line at any time.
There are many blog spots out there, but one free place to start is Livejournal at http://www.livejournal.com By Kathleen K.

How do I set up a blog?
By emaleigh from Silverdale, OH
Go to whatever site you want to participate in (like facebook or myspace) and register. Then you just start typing up what you want to blog about. Blogs are really just personal gossip columns about everything under the sun.
What is a blog and why/how do I use it?
A weblog, which is usually shortened to blog, is a type of website where entries are made (such as in a journal or diary), displayed in a reverse chronological order.
Blogs often provide commentary or news and information on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Most blogs are primarily textual although many focus on photograph (photoblog), videos (vlog), or audio (podcasting).
The word blog can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
The easiest blog sites I think are www.xanga.com or www.blogspot.com
Go to google.com and type in what is a blog. You will find a definition and sites that will let you set up a blog.
I have several people tell me that they think I could make a small amount of $ by doing an online homeschooling/farming blog. I have no idea at all how to go about this or where to even look to investigate the possibility of this. Any suggestions?
Things You'll Need:
Computer with Internet connection
Good writing skills
Step1Decide on the purpose of your homeschooling blog. Do you want to write to inspire other homeschoolers to do the same? Do you want to encourage new homeschoolers?
