I also have a Stella E/B Model EBKBFL that doesn't heat up. All the lights on the remote are in a flashing formation up and down. It has been disconnected and reconnected, and all connections are secure.

Have you tried calling the company (information should be on the blanket or control) as they can probably help you decide if it is fixable. If you cannot locate the contact information you should call whatever store sells this brand and ask them for contact info.
I always like to check with Sears Service Center (Google your zip code) as you can usually take something in (maybe not right now) and they will check it out and tell you if it can be fixed and order parts if necessary - usually any brand. I would call first.
Cant even find a manufacturer - let alone a stockist ! Have swapped controls which didn't work so I would say it is stuffed.
PS: I'm in Australia so US is no good to me Cheers

This sounds like this blanket is shorting out. You may have to cut your losses with this one unless you have a warranty on this item. It could be dangerous to keep using anything electrical with a short circuit in the heating element !
Check the wires inside the blanket and make sure none of them are pinched so they can not make contact. If you can't find any issues with the wires there is a short in the wiring of the blanks and more than likely it needs to be replaced.
