This is my take on Indian inspired stir fry jumbo shrimp with curry dish, pairs perfectly with rice.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Yield: 2 people
Ingredients:
- 1/2 lb jumbo shrimp
- 1 tsp curry powder
- dash sea salt
- dash black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 packet crushed red pepper
- 5 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 small onions
- 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 fresh curry leaf
- 2 Tbsp water
Steps:
- Wash shrimp and pat dry.

- Marinate with shrimp with seasonings (dash of salt/pepper, curry powder, garlic powder).

- Chop garlic cloves and onions. Wash curry leaf.

- In a pot add vegetable oil. Add garlic and onion over medium heat and sauté for a few minutes. Then add packet of crushed red pepper.

- Add your shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes. Also in this step combine soy sauce, water, and sugar and toss in the fresh curry leaf, allow to cook for a few more minutes.
