I found that if I take a plastic bag and smooth it out and fold it up small, I can get several into a large prescription bottle which then goes in my purse or tote. You'll always have a plastic bag when you need one and you're away from home.

Great minds! I put mine in a spice bottle on here. Aren't we just the most clever people?
This is a great idea! Just the simple things we never really think of. Please post more. Thank You!
I use an empty cardboard case of soda. It can slide easily in an out of a cabinet, cut in half fit in a drawer, on a shelf. I twist the bags and in a loose knot. Then they take up less space and are manageable. Stuff them the box. Re-use.
I just stuff all the plastic bags in a wastebasket under a table. It wastes too much time to neatly fold something that will just be eventually used to hold trash.
I use the "umbrella bags" that they put out in the foyer at Kaiser Clinic. Many other places put them out also. One bag will hold at least 40 plastic bags stuffed one at a time in it. I don't believe in wasting my time folding something I will be filling with garbage and throwing away.
