This is a quick and easy sorbet that doesn't require an ice cream maker. A bit of heavy cream pureed with ripe fruits make for an excellent treat once frozen. I love this for hot summer days!
*Taste your puree before popping in the freezer to see if you'd like to add a teaspoon or two of sugar or sugar substitute. The fruits I used here were sweet enough, but not all fruits are alike. :)

What is the salt for? Can it be omitted for those on a low sodium diet?
Salt brings out the sweetness of fruits and baked goods. The tiny bit this calls for won't impact a low-sodium diet -- you're going to use less than 1/8 tsp.
