I like mine with seeds in them but it seems those are the ones that don't hold up so well. Here's our new recipe for a delicious, sturdy bread that is great for sandwiches!
Yield: 1 loaf
Ingredients:
- 2 1/2 cup bread flour
- 1/8 cup wheat bran
- 1/8 cup oat bran
- 1/4 cup unsalted hulled sunflower seeds
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp yeast
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2/3 cup water
Steps:
- Put all ingredients into your machine in the order suggested by your bread machine manufacturer. Most suggest liquids first, flours second, salt, sweetener, then yeast.
- Mine takes the yeast from a separate compartment, yours may or may not. It's usually the last step no matter what. Program the machine for basic white bread and press start. When loaf is done, let rest for a few minutes then remove and let cool on a rack.
