I have a recipe that calls for ketchup which I ran out of. Can I use cocktail sauce in place of it? It is a recipe that you mix ketchup, honey, and soy sauce together and place it in a crockpot with chicken and cook it for several hours.
I'll bet if you use the cocktail sauce (you must like it or why would you have it?) you will never go back to plain ketchup. Sounds like something good to try.

I did try the cocktail sauce which I usually reserve to use w/shrimp. The recipe came out good but I prefer using the ketchup. Thanks for your response.
