Succulent Planter Gift - finished planter The school year is coming to an end. This is a nice gift for a teacher, neighbor, co-worker, friend, or anyone special. It is homemade and inexpensive.

This project cost about $1.21 if I were to make 4 (made 3) with items I already had at home.

Total Time: 1 hour

Supplies:

wide Mason jars ($4.49)
scissors
hot glue
burlap
twine
soil
succulents
clothespin
paper
Sharpie
Optional printer

Steps:

For this project, I used the wide pint jars by the brand Ball (purchased from Target.)
Fill about half with soil.

Get some succulents from your yard (preferably with roots). Plant in the jar.

Fill up with soil.

I used wide burlap I had bought during Christmas and cut into 3 pieces as an accent. I dabbed a little hot glue on the jar to secure the burlap down and used twine to tie a bow.

I wrote, with a Sharpie, on a clothespin each teacher and teacher assistant's name (made 3 in total).

Secured with a little note card. I used this background https://www.burlapandblue.com/2016/04/15/watercolor-flowers-free-printables/ and edited to write a custom message then printed out, cut. Attached gift card and note to the planter. Ready to gift!
