I recently shocked my well and instead of smelling bleach as I ran it through the pipes I started to smell sulfur, is this normal?

Using hydrogen peroxide instead of chlorine bleach is one of the suggestions in this article. www.cleanwaterstore.com/
Removing sulfur smell from well water can be an expensive process but shocking does usually help for a few weeks.
It is possible something went wrong with this 'shock treatment' so I would suggest you try it again - maybe using hydrogen peroxide instead of bleach this time.
Is this a new problem for you or have you been dealing with it before?
