Melt butter in a 2 quart dish. Stir in squash, onion, basil, salt and pepper. Cover with a paper towel and cook on high for about 5 minutes or until the tenderness you like, stirring every two minutes.
Stir in tomatoes and cover with paper towel and cook about 1 more minute.
Sprinkle with the cheese and let stand or put in microwave for a few seconds to melt cheese. This can also be done on stove top in frying pan, either way it's good. A great way to use up your garden vegetables and really yummy!
