My Sunbeam breadmaker is not kneading, what do I do?

Your kneading blades may not be installed properly, or they may be worn out. There are so many of these in thrift stores and being given away on buy nothing groups. It might be cheaper for you to get another one than spend money fixing this one.
Thanks for your answer!
I thought about purchasing a new blade, then reckoned buying new is better.
Got a new one delivered just now.
Years ago, I needed by hand when had lots of time, but I hear you, good old fashioned hand kneading rocks!
I know it's not the answer to your question, but I prefer to make my bread by hand or use my KitchenAid stand mixer with the dough hooks. There is just something about kneading dough by hand that I find very relaxing and Zen-like. As far as your bread machine goes, I would check thrift stores, for either one identical to yours that you can use for parts, or one that already actually works.
Per the Sunbeam site: Make sure the baking pan and kneading blade are properly installed: www.sunbeam.ca/
It's always nice to hear that a problem has been resolved, even if the item was not repairable.
If you like using a breadmaker then it sounds like a new one will make that task even more enjoyable.
I also love homemade bread and sometimes the 'old' way is good for one person while another may just love freshly made bread.
I have found that I will many times try new recipes when using a breadmaker while I just stick to the usual when making bread from scratch.
