I have always suffered from leg pain. I have had it so badly it has made me cry. I know a lot of people who use support hose for fluid retention and to prevent blood clots. I found if my legs are hurting, I can put on a pair of support hose and it helps my legs feel better.
They make support hose for men and women. They come in a variety of sizes and colors. Mine are hand me downs but they work so well, I keep them on my nightstand.

I have been taking horse chestnut capsules twice a day for more than 10 years for internal varicose vein pain, and it really works. I no longer need to wear the support stockings or wrap my legs in tensor bandages to relieve the pain-- the pain is simply not there most of the time. Horse chestnut has been used and studied in Germany for decades, but has been slow to catch on this side of the Atlantic.
Yes, very helpful. I am newly recognizing I have venous insufficiency, and purchased some herbal supplement from Herbal store, horse chestnut as primary ingredient. I was skeptical, still am, however, I will work at taking 2 a day as supplement says and hopefully the horse chestnut will have impact of some healing. I cannot not deal with this new reality. It affects my legs, my walking, use of my legs.
