Here's another craft idea that I learned from my son. He is preparing a lot of unique valentine greetings for his teachers. What I like most about these crafts is that you won't need to spend so much for a gift. And it will take only 10 minutes to make.
Supplies:
- Art paper
- Scissors
- Glue
- Pen and marker
Steps:
- Cut two art papers of the same color into 8x8 inches square. Take one and fold horizontally both sides to form a cross in the center. Make sure to crease all the folds tightly.
- Make all the paper corners meet in the center point of that cross.
- From that position, fold it equally divided into three.
- Unfold, turn to the opposite side and do the same. When you unfold it, it shall mark lines that form squares.
- Unfold the triangles on two sides.
- Pull up the two edges, then push the corners inside as you pull up the tip at the same time. It should look like this.
- Do the same on the other end. Push both flaps inside to form the box. See picture.
- Take the second paper and do the same procedures to make the second box.
- Leave a 1.5 cm excess on one flap of this box. See photo.
- Write the word "pull" in it. Set aside the two boxes.
- Now cut out 3-4 strips of paper (1cm). You can choose a different color of your choice.
- Put two strips together in an "L" position.
- Fold each strip in alternately overlapping each other to form a paper spring. Add more strips a to make it longer or as needed.
- When it's done, glue it in the center of the second box.
- Cut out a small heart and draw a face or write your message.
- Stick it on top of the paper spring.
- Decorate the 1st box with stickers or cutout pictures.
- Insert 2nd box to the 1st box. Open it to test and see the effect.
