My puppy stopped eating and drinking on Thursday. He is with the vet being treated for the parvovirus. Also a surgery was done to correct a telescopic intestine. He was taking forced feedings yesterday, but today started vomiting in the afternoon. Will he make it, he is only 5 months old?

A dog shouldn't be eating unless there has been no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours. Is your dog still at the vet? If he isn't, I would take him back. I hope he does make it.
If he has any vomiting or diarrhea he should only have liquids. If he is at the vet, I am sure they are taking proper care of him
He is at the vet and that's the best thing right now, they are taking good care of him. It is possible he will pull through. Sending warm thoughts your way.
Did your Vet recommend that you force feed your dog? This is dangerous to do if he is still sick from the virus. Furthermore, if your dog was being treated for the parvo virus I can't understand why your vet operated on him. The dog is, already very sick and weak and this just adds stress to the dog's health.
I would recommend that you see another vet. Your dog might need to be hospitalized at the vet's for a few days to monitor him and give him an infusion. When my dog was that sick with the parvo virus he spent 6 days at the vet's with an IV. Only when my dog stopped having diarrhea and vomiting did the vet try to introduce food to him again. They never force feed my dog.
Your dog is very weak right now and more than likely dehydrated. Force feeding him is not doing him any good at all. You are only dehydrating him more. Please call another vet in your area and take your dog in immediately.
Younger dogs seem to bounce back easier than older dogs do.Your in my prayers.I had a 6 month old with parvo and he pulled through.
I am so sorry for your loss. We tend to love our pets like parents of a child and a loss at such a young age can be so painful but I feel sure you did everything you could to save this puppy so please take solace in that. Perhaps one day in the future you will be able to find another puppy to love and give a good caring home. The only way to be sure a new puppy would be safe is for them to have completely finished all of their vaccinations before bringing them home.
