Swag Decoration For Less - swag on garden arch We have a vinyl arch in our backyard. It's pretty plain, so I decided to spruce it up with simple supplies (faux flowers/fillers, zip ties, and a bow).

This swag decoration could be for your home entry way, over the door as well (not just for arches). Also, you can apply this same concept for weddings too - you will just need more faux flowers/fillers to make it more fuller.

For weddings, I found arch rentals were pricey anywhere from $200-$400 more or less depending on the style/flowers.

But if you want to invest in a vinyl arch (the style I have is around $135 you could make your own floral decorations and also keep the arch in your backyard making it even more sentimental) still could be cheaper than renting (as an option). I would recommend trying to find fake flowers in advance when they're deeply discounted (usually end of the season they are 75% to 90% off).

Supplies:

zip ties
scissors
fake flower/fillers (grass)
bow

Steps:

Place 2 fake flower stems opposite of each other like pictured.

Secure them together with one zip tie on each end.

I used this faux grass like filler and divided it in half and bent it as pictured.

Place it underneath the faux flowers and zip tie in the center.

Slightly bend the flowers so it's an arch and now puff out the flowers.

Zip tie your center piece (whether it may be bigger flowers, a sign, or a bow) in place.

It is ready to hang. Since I am attaching it to the arch, I just used a zip tie. If you are hanging it on your wall, you'll need to make a loop/hook with a zip tie.
