My birthday is in December, and my mom has been bothering me about what I want to do. I couldn't care less about my birthday, having people that I'm obligated to entertain is physically tiring.
Is there anything I can do that can be fun?
I live in Florida and the weather can be bipolar. So I don't know what to do, I don't care about my birthday, I mainly just want to hang out with friends and I feel like there should be more to that. So... help?

Talk to your mom about your feelings and see if you can come up with a sweet compromise for your sweet 16! Maybe you and your friends could just hang out and have a fun time at home and the compromise could be a sweet cake or candy treat.
If you don't really care at all, and it sounds like your mum is very invested, why not just say something, anything, to get her off your back? That way you make sure to do something you don't actually detest (say you hate the thought of a 'sweet 16' type party) by suggesting something else
I would suggest something else that you have always wanted to do but maybe have not been able to afford, like a trip to the mountains or a different state or a music concert or anything like that. Invite 3 or 4 close friends.
Talk to your mother. Tell her you want a low-key party. I know a girl who wanted a necklace. She told her parents she wanted that more than a party, and they obliged.
It's important that you express to your mother how emotionally draining it would be for you to have a big party. Low-key celebrations are often the best. Since your mother wants your 16th birthday to be special for you maybe the two of you could sit down and brainstorm some possible ideas such as a pizza party at your home with a few friends. It may sound a little odd for a 16th birthday, but you could suggest that you and your mom have a special dinner at a really nice restaurant.
Definitely talk to your mom and let her know you're 16, it's your birthday and you'd just like to hang out with your small group of friends. You should not feel obligated to entertain people you don't wish to be there or attend. :)
Dig deep and find out what YOU want, whether or not that includes a party. It's your day, not mama's.
Do you have a special interest? Mine is helping abused/homeless animals. If you have such an interest, too, you could ask your friends to each bring a small donation that you could all take to an animal shelter on your birthday. They could bring such things as: gently used towels/blankets, leashes, collars, brushes, toys, paper towels, bleach, hypoallergenic animal shampoo, printer paper, etc.
