The pink cherry blossoms along the shores of Lake Washington are a sure sign that springtime is really here in the Pacific Northwest. They stay with us only a short time and then - they're gone!
This is the cherry tree in the backyard of our new home. When we went to look at the house before we bought it, the many fruit trees already there and lots of room for more are what sold me on the house.
Cherries are the first sign that spring has arrived. They look and smell wonderful. I photographed this in my brother's backyard last spring.
