I just unboxed and put it together, it won't spray the solution. I changed the batteries and tried it before putting the solution back in and the motor seems to work, however when I put the solution in it doesn't clip and will fall out if I try to make the sweeping motion. I can't seem to get the solution to click into place. I of course can't find the receipt to return it. Any ideas?

You can try this:
Take acetone based nail polish remover to the battery connectors inside the casing and let dry completely. Re-install the batteries.
There is a button at the base of where the water fits. Press on it when you drop the bottle in. Youll hear it go into place. That button also releases the bottle.
I believe that i would try returning it even without a receipt. If you bought it on a debit or credit card maybe you can print out the store receipt where it shows payment and date. Even if there were other things on the receipt the stores can look up that date and find your receipt with item listed. I have done this before with Walmart and they honored it.
This happened to me (brand new, wouldn't spray). Check and see if there is cardboard where you put the spray bottom. I finally figured out on mine that there was and I took it out and it magically worked. :)
I had issue with new out-of-the-box Swiffer wet jet that came with wood floor solution. Batteries were good but solution would not spray. The bottle had instruction to install with arrow toward the pole.
Yes it was the cardboard for me!
I just bought one too and wondered why it wouldn't spray. On closer inspection I found that there is a cardboard insert and THAT is why the cleaning solution wouldn't click in. Seriously. Now it works like a charm! Time for new glasses! :)
