How old are you currently? I would think she bought you a razor for shaving your arm pits there would be difference to shave your legs also? You should tell her your legs have a lot of hair and see what she thinks , or show her. No need to necessarily compare to your friends or she will say is that why you want to shave as well?

I'm not sure if you and your mum are aware that there are beauty products (creams) you can buy at a pharmacy that will safely and easily remove the hair on your legs without using a razor. Just follow the directions (smooth the cream on your legs, leave on (x) minutes and wash off in the shower.

Ask if you can use a depilatory to remove the leg hair. Your mother is probably worried that you are going to cut yourself.

Shaving your legs:

1. I can understand how you feel and why you want to shave your legs.
2. My mom was very much like yours and she gave me an excuse that once you start shaving your legs you can never stop. She claimed the hair grew back twice as fast and twice as thick.

3. Shaving your legs with a razon can be dangerous at time. I know when I was young, I did cut my legs badly from time to time. It was quite painful too.
4. I believe your mom might be worried abuot this.
5. I'd like to suggest instead of asking her to use a razon to shave your legs, ask her if you can buy one of the new hair removal creams that they sell in markets.
6. She might think about this one and consider allowing you to use this instead of a razor on your legs.
7. Before you talk with your mom again I would suggest to find out a little bit about hair removal products on the market today.
8. Then go to your mom and start talking to her about why you want to shave your legs.
9. Tell her how embarrassed you are about the thick hair on your legs when you wear shorts or dresses.

10. Then tell her if you can't shave your legs with a razor would she consider allowing you to use a hair removal product and start talking about the one you would like to use.
11. Parents can be difficult at times, but if you do it the right way she will come around.
12. My daughter was 12 or 13 when she started to shave her legs.

Shaving legs.

Step 1
I would explain to her how embarassed you are with so much hair on your legs.

Step 2
When you shave yourself after 13 is your business.

Step 3
I have seven kid's when they turn 13 my work is done as far as bath's go.

I would definitely do your research on hair removal products that do not require using a razor. Go to your mom and explain that you are embarrassed by the hair on your legs and ask if she would consider letting you try one of the products that you have researched.

I never understood the big deal with hair getting thicker after shaving as even if it were true, we already want to keep shaving that same hair so it won't make much difference :D.
