Tension rod wall supports I put up my tension rod. Twice, I hung my bags on it and it fell to the ground. I wished I had bought those screw in wall supports and then I thought I will just go look in my plastic cap recycling bag. I found two that fit snuggly onto the ends, great! Now let's place them!
First I took a pencil and a ruler and I put marks on the wall exactly each end where I wanted the caps to go. Second, I cut a notch just big enough for the rod to be able to be securely put inside the cap, cut it with an X-Acto knife and then bent it back with a pair of pliers. I took the X-Acto knife and made a pinhole in the very center of the cab so that the screw I was going to use to secure it to the wall would penetrate easily and not crack the cap. Next I used my screwdriver to secure both end caps on the wall and then I reinstalled my tension rod. It worked great.
Materials for this are a ruler, pencil, 2 wall screws, x-Acto knife, pliers, tension rod and 2 caps, which are recycled soda bottle caps. Follow the photos to help you
