What can I mix with acrylic paint to make it thinner?

For canvas painting, we just use a few drops of water. I would not thin house paint. Just paints used for painting, but that is just me. There are chemicals you can buy for the same canvas paintingpurpose, but water is much cheaper!
You can use water to thin it a little or a thinning agent to thin it more.
Some drops of water depending on consistency you want to achieve. Or, acrylic medium.
Water should do you. If it's very thick and chunky, add water, close lid and shake like mad :)
I found a big supply recently (for only $1) so I tried several methods and found it is very difficult to get just the right amount of water so do as suggested and add only a few drops at a time. If you only have a small amount then adding a little water should be fine.
I really like using a commercial product as it seems to be much more stable but you might want to check out these sites just to be sure. Probably more information than you need but some useful tips.
