These delicate, scalloped lace gloves are sure to wow at your next fancy luncheon or tea party! What may surprise you even more, is that they are very simple to make. So grab your hook, get comfortable and get ready to dress to impress!:)
Total Time: About 3 hours
Supplies:
- size "0" 3.25 mm steel crochet hook
- about 100 yards #2 nylon thread
- scissors
- embroidery needle for weaving in ends
Steps:
- Ch 40.
- Work (2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in 6th ch from hook, * skip 5 ch, (2 dc, ch 3 2 dc) in next ch, repeat from* to last 4 ch, skip 3 ch, 1 dc in last ch.
- Ch 3, turn. Skip 1st 3 dc, *(2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in ch 3 space, skip next 4 dc, repeat from*, ending with skip last 2 dc, 1 dc in next ch.
- Repeat last step 15 times more.
- Fold bottom half towards you, ch 1, turn. Work 21 sc through both thicknesses, 13 slip stitch through the layer closest to you only, 7 sc through both thicknesses.**Do not fasten off.
- Turn glove right side out, ch 1, sc in same space as ch, work 50 additional sc evenly around the entire glove edge, join with a slip stitch to your first sc.
- Ch 1, sc in same space as ch, *skip 2 sc, 6 dc in the next stitch, skip 2 sc, sc in the next stitch, repeat from *, ending with skip 2, join with a slip stitch to the first sc. Fasten off.
- Attach your thread with a sc to the bottom edge of your glove. Work 50 more sc evenly around the edge, join with a slip stitch to your first sc. Repeat step 8, end.
- All set!

These gloves are so gorgeous, I can hardly believe it. They look like an item that women in the late 1800's would wear. Stunning!
