Does anyone know what these bugs are, they seem to come in when my door is open but I'm constantly having one crawl on me at any time and it's getting annoying!
Can't seem to locate a source of them and they just seem to be mostly in the living room so not in the kitchen. Just want to know how I can get rid or limit the number of them!
Thanks

Since the title of the question contains the word Flies, these tiny black bugs can fly. I think these are Thunder flies, also known as thunderbugs, thrips or thripids.
'Thunder flies are tiny black insects which feed on a range of plants and feed on animals - and can quickly become destructive. Also known as thunder bugs, thrips or thripids the insects have a stinger and puncture plants, fruit and animals with this to suck out the contents. Their wings are narrow and fringed, and thunder flies have two pairs - however some can also be wingless.
To get rid of them apply narrow-range oil, neem oil, or insecticidal soaps;
destroy and prune any affected plants, and make sure to dispose of any cuttings;
add screens to your windows and doors;
mist or spray your plants (keep any plants moist) as thunder bugs do not like damp;
vacuum around your home.

Flies can be very annoying. Fly tape can help. You can get some here: www.google.com/

Your pictures are just too small to really make a good guess, but to me, they look a lot like fungus gnats.
This could only be correct if you have live houseplants in your living room.
If this does not sound/look like your bugs you can take some close - up pictures and send them to your county extension office and they should be able to advise you on how to get rid of these bugs.

You might want to put it in a ziplock & take it to your nearest extension office. Here's the link for locations:
