Tiny Swimming Pool for Baby Ducks

I wanted to make sure that they had a chance to play in the water, but since they were still in their brooder box I needed a small "pond". I went to Lowe's and bought a plastic paint roller tray. It holds a good amount of water and has a natural ramp built in. :) They loved it!

The main things to keep in mind when looking for something to use is that it has low sides and that it is small for easy cleaning. They make a mess of the water very quickly and since they will also use it to drink from you need to make frequent water changes. Some other small swimming pool options:

• large plastic flower pot saucer
   
• small cat litter pan
   
• cement mixing tray (hardware store)
