Tips for Easy Craft Cleanup

Working with different craft projects can be messy especially if you are using a lot of glue or paint. Normally you need to cover your area with a newspaper or have a special plastic cloth that you use when working on a different craft project. A piece of newspaper can be messy and the black ink can get on your hands or even on your craft project. After you need to dispose of the paper in the trash cans which leads to a lot more trash in our landfills. I have found that using a very large piece of tile is the best way to go.

A large square of tile will cover the table, protect it and make it a breeze to clean up after you are done. The tile is easy to wash, the paint and glue come right off. Plus, when you are done the tile can slip between two cabinets for easy storage. A sponge with some water on it will easily wipe off dried paint or even glue. With the tile you can have a hot glue gun on the work surface and not worry about burning your table. I have been using the same piece of tile for years and it makes the best work surface for all craft projects. One thing I love about tile is the fact you can draw a design on the tile, put hot glue on the design, and it peels off easily. The clean up is quick and the ink is gone with just a sponge and water.
