So I went to the hairdresser yesterday. I actually wanted to go for a slightly dark rose gold color, but ended up with quite a bright shade of pink. Although I don't think the color looks bad, it's a little too far out of my comfort zone. I am kind of out of my hairsalon-spending budget so wonder if there is a way to DIY tone the color more to a rose gold?
(For some reason the pictures kind of spazz their way into the question upside down and all.. but I hope you get a good enough look at the hair to get an idea!)
Thanks in advance (:

This 'honey' colored conditioner may work to add some gold to your hair. It's not permanent, but semi-perm...(and is returnable, if you don't like it.)

I know that you do not like the color, I love it. There are a few different things you could do to lighten , with this link, from natural ingredients to chemical lighting.
Hair coloring is definitely not my forte so I will leave this to the 'experts' and probably our esteemed member Attosa is the expert on hair conditioning on this site, so, hopefully, she will offer some suggestions soon.
There is another expert on this subject so maybe he will decide it's time to come out of hibernation and make some suggestions to help you out.
Normally it takes a few weeks for the color to fade out in your hair. I know you'd like it a bit less pink right now so you can try this one to help speed up the process Go to the market and buy some anti-dandruff shampoo.
Hello! I work with hair often. I have been exactly where you are with the hair that came out too pink. If you'd like to tone it down just a bit and not change the wonderful quality of your current hair, get a SEMI permanent light light ash brown colour and process it for half the time, maybe even 10 minutes. You should do a strand test first. Anyhow, this will give more of a rose gold than the popping pink (which I adore, btw).
I love the color!! You have lots of good guidance, but why not enjoy it!! You carry it well!! Blessings!
Thanks so much for the answers all of you! I actually chose to keep it this way eventuall! After the initial shock of the color coming out differently from what it was supposed to, I grew to really love it. So it's there to stay (:
Still glad for the advice. Thanks everyone
