Now that we can travel a little more now, I hope this will help you stay organized on the cheap. I got a small tool box at a thrift store, and simply filled it with things I had in the house or in the car but could rarely find.
Mine included something to see and write with, meds, $15.00 in quarters, dental items, bandaids, a large plastic bag for trash, shampoo and conditioner, matches, candles, and so much more.
Of course what you put in it is up to you, but this might give you a few things to think about. Hope it helps!
