I have a Pfaff Hobby 1200 Grand quilter. I have used it about 6 years for quilting. The top thread is breaking every 5 -6 inches - this is new. I always clean and oil after each quilt - so I oiled it, cleaned it, replaced the needle (confirmed I am using correct needle size) and using quality thread. I also use a silicone lube on the spool as it has helped in the past to avoid thread breakage. I have not touched the thread tensions. Any idea how to fix this? Thanks!

Thread gets old. Get fresh thread.
My friend uses this machine and she pointed me to this site:

She said her issue is that her machine gets dust it and that causes it to go haywire. Once she cleans it out using a clean brush, it works until the next time.
I have an old Kenmore and every time I have thread breakage it is because of bad thread...but I know that is usually not the issue with the Pfaafs...my friends all refer to these machines as TTTs--terrible two toddlers....as they tend to melt down without warning and just when things are going well!!
I have found that although I have not "moved" the tension, it will sometimes still need a little "tweaking".
I have also been told to slow down and that does help also.
If you have checked everything (and thread is new) then I can only say to start with slowing down and then check tension just to be sure.
Here is a good thread from a Pfaff forum:

Here is a link to a manual - just in case someone needs one.
Troubleshooting breaking thread is on page 37.
