This is a childhood stuffed animal. It's a stuffed rabbit with a white face on one end and a black face in the other. I know it's 30 + years old but I have no idea if it was mass produced or was a one off as I cannot find any manufacturer markings or tags and could be older than 30. I would love to find out more about it's origins or if anyone has any information on the style, as I have never seen anything similar to it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm not anticipating it having any financial value but would like to have some knowledge other than it's a two headed bunny!

From 1901-1924, Bruckner produced an original, 12" Topsy Turvy doll for Horsman's Babyland Rag Doll line that features Caucasian,"Betty", on one end and African American,"Topsy", on the other. The inspiration for this doll is based on the character of Topsy in Harriet Beecher Stowe's classic 1852 novel, "Uncle Tom's Cabin" blackdollcollecting.blogspot.com/
Topsy Turvy toys were made by various companies. For example, Alma's Design: Alice In Wonderland 12" Topsy Turvy Doll - Red Queen & Mad Hatter www.ebay.co.uk/

If the toy does not have a manufacturer's label, then it is quite difficult to determine who made the toy.
Examine carefully the body of hares again and look for at least some inscriptions. Look for labels on dresses. Examine the quality of the seams.
I found Handmade Bunny Rabbit Flip Flop Doll Topsy Turvy 24 inch Red & Green Dress Primitive that looks like yours, but both rabbits are white www.secureeasyche.com/
