I recently bought some rather expensive dark towels. Even after washing them twice, and not using fabric softener, they leave their lint on my body. Is there anything I can do to stop this?
Thank you,
Msmyssti from Cotuit, MA
Not sure, but I think this will stop after a few more washings. Especially since they sound like they are well-made towels. (03/29/2006)

Be sure to put them in the dryer. They should be fine. They'll absorb more water if you don't use fabric softener. (03/30/2006)

Keep a piece of netting (tulle?) in your dryer. I have been using the same piece for over a year now and it works wonders keeping lint off of clothes. (05/28/2006)

ALL NEW TOWELS should be put in dryer (alone) for one hour on medium warm. It get causes the lint to come out. Then wash and dry. Towels will be fluffy and shedess lint.
