Toy Helicopter/Airplane Landing Pad - helicopter on top of the water bottle landing pad With a little imagination, your toddler can have an unlimited amount of landing pads for their toy helicopters, airplanes.

My toddler had endless fun making it, so much so, that he made a second one. This won't cost you any money either just use items you have laying around at home like a shoe box, nutrition bar box, and some pens, paper, bottle, tape, etc.

Supplies:

empty boxes
pens
Sharpie
paper
tape
plastic bottle
hot glue

Steps:

Landing Pad #1 - Simply use white paper and cover the top of the shoe box or in my case I used a boot box so it was much longer than standard shoe box. Glue or tape paper down (up to you).

Now you are ready to decorate your landing pad. Have your child decorate it how they envision their landing pad to be.

I helped draw the arrows for the direction the helicopter/airplanes would land.

Using an empty bottle, hot glue the cap down - this will serve as helicopter's landing pad.

Since it's a shoe box underneath, you use it like a garage to store the toys after playing.

Landing Pad #2 - Cover an empty nutrition bar box with white paper.

Draw on the landing pad (my son asked me to design this one for him).

And he said underneath is the parking storage/garage for this airplanes. He will fly from one airport to another. He said he will make more destinations eventually.
