How do I transplant "hen and chicks" plants?

When I brought a big pot of hens and chicks I just broke them apart and planted them in serveral areas. I have one that is about 10 inches wide now and two others that are ready to flower any day now.
It couldn't be easier, just pull up the the ones you want to move and place them where you want them to grow and they do the rest.
