I have really sore feet, despite using creams twice a day. I just wondered if anyone has any self help ideas? It's mainly painful corns in between my toes. I've used foam to stop the pain but I'd like to cure them. It's a hard place to get at!
I also have splitting heels, which I clear up but they always come back. I used those foot softening booties with fluid in and they actually caused my heels to split! To top it all, I have what looks like a mini volcano on the outside of a big toe and it's really painful, so I can't file it off! Thanks in advance!

Corns can be very painful, and are usually caused by tight shoes, especially heels. If overweight, diabetic or have an overactive thyroid, these health problems can contribute. Cracked heels can get infected if left to get deeper and deeper. There are many self-help solutions about soaking your feet and then using a file or pumice stone to remove the softened corns and dead skin build-up. You can also try applying Vaseline to your feet at night and wear some comfy socks to bed, then apply a good moisturizing foot cream several times a day, every day.
I don't normally promote products that are from a multi level marketing company. The only exception I have is that the Watkins petrocarb is the best for the cracked heels. It really heals (DO NOT USE IF YOU HAVE AN INFECTION). Besides getting it from a Watkins person (I don't know any personally so this is not an endorsement), you used to be able to get it at Target.
For the corn pain, if you could stand it, reflexology or a massage therapist trained in myofascial cranial release may be able to help. Sending healing wishes and prayers!
It really sounds like you have been suffering from this condition way too long. I have never seen corns grown on the inside of your toes and normally they just grow on the baby toe on the outside. I fear this is much worse than you have described and simple cures are not working any longer.
hi-you are right-the problem started after i had bunion ops on both feet-soon after i noticed my toes were kind of overlapping, which has got worse over time - did see a chiropodist a couple of times and she recommended these little tubes to fit over the toes, told me i had bad circulation in my feet, and said i should wear wool socks and cream my feet daily-which i already was doing long before as they were so dry and cracking.im not diabetic or overweight,i do walk with my dogs about 2 hours daily, just at wits end with pain.maybe a visit to the foot lady is due-it could just be age,im 71.thankyou for your reply xx
Please see a family doctor or gerontologist for a full check-up if you can afford it. "Hardening of the arteries" causes the poor circulation that can result in these symptoms.
