I have tried about everything, including Vicks and Epsom salt. Any ideas?

I've heard soaking the foot in apple cider vinegar works. A co-worker swore by it. I've never used the method myself, though, so I don't know for sure.
I'm not sure toenail fungus ever completely goes away. In the past three years I have used a doctor's prescription, a natural vinegar/herb soak, oil of oregano, tea tree oil and Vicks. I can tell when something is killing the fungus because the nail gets black in places and around the edges.
The nails are better than when I began. There are a few different fungi that can cause the disease, so I guess it is natural that one remedy works on certain kinds of nail fungus, and another remedy works better on another kind. One thing is for sure, though: All the remedies worked better than the foot doctor's expensive stuff.
