Cats can have several different kinds of worms.
Petco or PetSmart may be able to help you as they usually have a vet technician that you can talk to.
They will probably want a description of the worms as well as the age and approximate weight of your cat.
Some county Humane Societies have a vet that will deworm animals for less money than your regular vet. Try calling them to see if they can help.
it is really probably best to use the medicine that can be bought OTC at a pet shop. It probably wouldn't cost much more than buying supplies for natural/DIY products that might not work

some of the advice given is:

- parsley water
- diatomaeous earth
- wormwood water
You should be able to find the medication at Petco. Go there and talk with the people that work there and they will be able to get you the medication you need to do this yourself at home.
Call the humane society in your area and explain your issue. Maybe they can tell you what to use or offer discount help!
