Two different vets told me my Labrador mix has a staph infection. She has been on antibiotics 3 times to no avail. I give her yogurt, grain free dry food, make green bean, carrot, pea, and chicken mix and give her probiotics every day. My vet put her on thyroid meds as he says she has problems. She has scabby, smelly sores on her back. I have used several different shampoos, sprayed her with lavender and witch hazel spray and she still stinks like a dead animal. I am at the end of my rope and don't know what to do about the smell and the staph. Oh and I put pure coconut oil on the sores and it did not help. Thank you for your time.

An oatmeal bath may be soothing. Your dog may also have allergies. My sister had a dog like that and she always smelled. Sorry...
Give her a cool oatmeal shampoo bath (not hot water) and put a damp T-shirt on her afterwards to keep her skin cool and damp longer to help retain healing moisture.
Well you certainly work hard at making your dog comfortable. You get points in heaven for that. Staph can be persistent. You may need to try several antibiotics before you get one that works. Go back to your Vet and tell him/her it is not working. We (Seattle) have an emergency/specialist veterinary hospital that I use when I get stuck at my local vet.
