One day a breaker blew or so we thought. We have tried flipping it and there is still no power. We've had the fuse checked and it is still good. What's affected is weird to me, because there is no power or lights in master bedroom or bathroom, no lights in hallway, but the plug-ins work. The porch light doesn't work and in the kitchen the outlets work, but the lights don't. Then in the living room none of the outlets work, but the ones on the wall farthest from the kitchen work. Where do I start to try and figure this problem out?

You do not seem to know much about electricity. I dont either. Save yourself a lot of grief and hire an electrician. You have enough lights and power outlets in various rooms not working to make this a more complicated fix than a beginner should attempt.
I totally agree w u that I am not smart enough to do this myself...I was just hoping that it might have been an easy quick fix that wasnt too expensive...lol...I didnt think it would be but ive always believed in hope....lol
Who checked the fuse? If it was an electrician, burn that number and find another one! I say that with all due respect as they should have done additional checks. If it was a landlord, then he/she needs to get this fixed for you.
If it was a friend, please don't let them do anything else.
Electricity is nothing for a lay person to mess with, so I suggest contacting a pro. The folks at this site... thrifty fun... are amazing, but there are few if any electricians on the site. Crowd sourcing fix it advice from lay person can be dangerous.
Many electricians in my town offer discounts for booking the service call online. Some even have a reasonable intro visit if you have not see their service before. Always Google for reviews or get a reputable name from a trusted person.
Post back what you learn! Best wishes and prayers for an easy solution!
We own our trailer but rent space in a park and the former manager had his electrician come check it out...but ive suspected all along its been the fuse...still do...but i would never attempt that kind of repair myself...electricity bites and it bites hard lol...I was just trying to see if I could save my mom some money if it was an easy fix...thank you
I feel your pain with all things electrical. I have a very, very old house and the first few years it needed so much in terms of electric, I had the guy on speed dial. The good news is once you get it fixed, it usually lasts for a long time. If your mom is over 55 ask for a senior discount! Some places give those (the bigger repair folks).
Hope it is an easy fix!!
We called in an electrician and good news its not her mobile home....its the wiring from the box that runs underground to the spot her MH connects to...bad news the mobile home park owner refuses to pay for it saying that she is responsible...which in her lease it clearly states that she is not...but we have an appt w a lawyer to see what the options are and to make sure who is legally responsible.
