I have 2 outlets in my bedroom. When I plug a lamp in 1 outlet the lamp on the other side goes out. Why?

The two outlets are somehow connected and cannot handle the voltage of both
Either your second outlet is faulty or you have a loose neutral somewhere in your circuit.
