I have a Troy-Bilt riding mower that I can't start. I have a new battery and have checked all the safety switches, but I can't get it to crank over. My question is where do I go next?

I would check the spark plugs, the fuel lines and the carburetor
Its a Troy. They are not good mowers!
Had my trot since 2003never a problem just have backfire now probably easy fix love my troy
If you have back fire when turning engine off it is actually after fire. The electrical sensor under the carb bowl probably went bad. It has a plunger that shuts fuel from entering combustion camber when ignition is shut off. if plunger does not go up and shut off fuel to jet engine will likely make a loud firing/afterfire as extra fuel is drawn up. If you lower engine speed for a few seconds and then turn off engine it will likely not afterfire. I installed an inline shut off valve and cut gas off and let engine run on low speed for 20 seconds or so and cut off ignition.
Where would I check if someone took something lose on my carburetor
Was running and this person done something to it. When I turn key on it just clicks
Their website has a live chat. www.troybilt.com/
I am one to go to the horse's mouth so to speak and don't monkey around will nilly because I make things worse.
If you are handy, hopefully they can get you to their troubleshooting protocols and right to the issue!
